Porter Robinson mobbed by fans in Tokyo, Japan at live ‘Shelter’ video premiere
Porter Robinson and Madeon, are gearing up for their highly-anticipated collaborative tour this fall, and this wild scene outside the live ‘Shelter’ video premiere Tuesday in Tokyo further solidified Porter’s rockstar stature.
Following its debut via digital billboard to a live audience in Tokyo’s Shibuya District, Japanese fans mobbed Porter as the anthemic titan arrived for the premiere of his ‘Shelter’ anime short film – written and executive produced by Porter, and created in association with A-1 Pictures and anime streaming monolith, Crunchyroll. In EXCLUSIVE footage obtained by Revolt, thousands of fans are seen trapping Porter in a sea of cameras clamoring at a chance for a meet-n-greet with the heralded electronic stalwart. Porter and Madeon dropped their single ‘Shelter’ back in August with a long-awaited announcement that they are hitting the road together this fall in North America on phase two of their ‘Shelter Live’ tour beginning November 8th in St. Louis, Missouri. While many of their tour dates are sold out, limited tickets remain on their website.
