After more than ten years in the industry, two studio albums, and one EP, Solange has nabbed the No. 1 album in the country with her third LP, the acclaimed and applauded A Seat at the Table.

An accomplishment in and of itself, it’s magnified by the fact that the feat puts Solange and her big sister Beyoncé in the exclusive clique of siblings that have both topped the Billboard album chart respectively as solo artists (as all six of Bey’s solo records have shot to No.1).

According to Billboard, the only pairs to do this before the Knowles women were Michael and Janet Jackson, and Silkk the Shocker and Master P (the latter of which, ironically, narrates much of A Seat at the Table).

So this makes Solo and Bey the first sisters to achieve this feat.

And, furthermore, Solo and Bey continue to follow in the footsteps of the Jacksons by earning their No.1 albums (Seat and Lemonade) in the same calendar year, much like MJ and Janet did back in 2001 with his Invincible and her All For You.
