In an unlikely and unforeseen pairing, Mary J. Blige and Hillary Clinton will sit down for what Apple Music has described as an “intimate conversation” between the two women.

The interview serves as an episode of Blige’s Beats 1 show “The 411,” likely a nod to her debut album, and in teasers revealed by Apple Music, MJB can be seen singing a slightly edited cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “American Skin” directly to the presidential candidate.

“If an officer stops you, always be polite / And never ever run away / Promise Mama you’ll keep your hands in sight / Is it a gun, is it a knife / Is it a wallet, this is your life / It ain’t no secret, it ain’t no secret / No secret, my friend / You can get killed just for living in your American skin.”

Though the clips cut off before Clinton can respond, Blige also asks questions the people want to know: “A lot of people in my community think that Obama was blocked in congress because he was black, how are you going to do what he wasn’t able to do?”
