Kid Cudi shook up the world last week with a Twitter tirade that sent stray shots of unabashed honesty to the doors of Kanye West and Drake.
Kid Cudi name checks Kanye West and Drake in fiery Twitter PSA
“Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” he wrote before adding, “My tweets apply to who they apply. ‘Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me.” Days later, Drake offered a response, so did Kanye, who stated, “I’m so hurt. I feel so disrespected,” and “Don’t never mention ‘Ye name. I birthed you.” A change of heart took place earlier this week when Kanye took a moment during his show at Houston’s Toyota Center to praise his G.O.O.D. brother. “I just wanted to take time out to say Kid Cudi is my brother,” he said, also adding that he is “the most influential artist of the past 10 years, and I hope he’s doing well.”
Now, as Cudder preps the arrival of a new album that is set to arrive this month, he adds another G.O.O.D. co-sign to his résumé as RIAA reveals he added four records to his platinum roster.
According to the RIAA, hits from Cudi’s Man on the Moon I and II albums have earned platinum recognition for sales over 1 million. The records include “Up Up & Away,” “Erase Me,” and “Make Her Say,” which coincidentally features Mr. West alongside Common. Also in the mix is “Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare),” which earned a quadruple platinum certification for sales over four million.
