It’s been nearly three years since we’ve seen an official single from Lady Gaga as a solo artist — that means without Tony Bennett by her side and, no, not a soundtrack contribution either. And even so, “G.U.Y,” her last offering, wasn’t exactly her best-seller.

But now entering into the era of her fourth album, Lady Gaga has begun teasing her latest single, “Perfect Illusion.”

Last month, she shared with her social media followers a photo of herself in the studio with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker and producers Mark Ronson and Bloodpop. She captioned it: “We made a #PERFECTILLUSION.”

And yesterday (September 6), she revealed two rockstar-esque images: this first of herself swinging a microphone around the heads and outstretched hands of fans.

And the second, the single’s official artwork, a photo of herself jumping into the sunset-lit skies of a desert.

Today, she’s finally hinted at the song’s lyrics:

“I don’t need eyes to see / I felt you touchin’ me / high like amphetamine / maybe you’re just a dream.”

And in just two days, the sounds will arrive. Are you hyped or has she already faded from your memory?

Update: We’ve got a guitar riff and the short shriek of a synth!
