Beyoncé turned 35 on B Day, which of course is September 4. In an Instagram post, she used “OOOUUU” as the background music as she thanked her fans for all the birthday love — she even received a special serenade from Chance the Rapper onstage at the Made In America Festival. “I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the beautiful and thoughtful birthday wishes. I am so fortunate to have the love and support of my family, my friends, and my hive,” she wrote in part.
Even though Beyoncé neglected to at least tag Young M.A or shout her out in the caption, the new phenom posted the following tweet when she saw the news, fangirling just like any of us would:
And on Sunday, Nicki Minaj broke her musical silence by releasing The Pinkprint Freestyle over the “OOOUUU” beat. She gave her fellow female rapper some acknowledgment, opening with, “Young M.A it’s the female Jay,” before launching into a six-minute lyrical assault.
No pressure, but the world will be watching to see how Young M.A follows that up!
