For the upcoming star-studded season of “Empire,” don’t expect an appearance from Mr. Man on the Moon, Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi.
Weeks after the announcement that he would play Hakeem Lyon’s biggest threat in the upcoming third season, Entertainment Weekly reports the “Vincent-N-Roxxy” star has bowed out of the role and will be replaced by Romeo Miller (formerly Lil’ Romeo).
Cudi has yet to comment on the decision, but EW notes it was due to “creative differences.” Scenes featuring Cudi were already shot, so it is likely that reshoots will take place ahead of the Season 3 premiere on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
In the meantime, Cudder is currently prepping a brand new album that is “finished” and expected to be released soon.
