As police continued to look into security footage recovered from Chris Brown’s home, the singer’s attorney maintains his client’s innocence and slams the “fabricated” allegations that Brown pulled a gun on a woman.

Talking to the Los Angeles Times, Mark Geragos said Brown has “cooperated fully” with police and refuted the claims brought up by accuser Baylee Curran. Less than 24 hours after the incident, which resulted in Brown getting arrested on suspicion of assault with deadly weapon, Curran made the media rounds and claimed that the singer pulled a gun on her after an associate of his had been showing her a collection of jewelry at the singer’s home. Curran alleged that Brown came in, pointed a gun at her, and ordered her to leave.

In response to the claims, Geragos told the Times, “It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated.” The lawyer said the LAPD did not find the jewelry described nor any firearms at the home.

The call from Curran on Tuesday (August 30) resulted in a day-long standoff between Brown and LAPD as the latter awaited a search warrant. The “Loyal” singer was later arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, but was released on $250,000 bail.

Brown has not been charged, but he is scheduled to be arraigned on September 20.

Shortly after the legal news, Brown circled back to the music and released “What Would You Do?” on SoundCloud. But while the singer looks to move away from the drama, many questions are being raised about the accuser.

On Wednesday (August 31), the New York Police Department revealed that Curran and another woman were wanted for questioning regarding an October 2013 theft at the Plaza Hotel. The NYPD has not issued a warrant for an arrest, but can call her in for questioning if she returns to the city. In the same year as the aforementioned incident, Curran accused a roommate of roughing her up inside their Burbank, California apartment. A temporary restraining order against the suspect was issued after the allegation. In July, she was “dethroned” from her “Miss Regional California” title following a string of complaints. Pageant organizers are still awaiting Curran to return her crown and sash, however she has reportedly refused to do so.
