Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with a felony: assault with a deadly weapon.

According to TMZ, earlier today, the singer was the sole suspect in an investigation after a woman called 911 claiming he had threatened her with a gun during Tuesday’s early morning hours. Police responded and took a report and, while in the process of obtaining a search warrant, Brown remained in his house telling his side of the story via Instagram in real-time. Brown’s guests began to file out of his home — one in attendance was Ray J — as the singer’s lawyer arrived. The singer also reportedly threw a duffel bag out a window that contained two guns and drugs.

The woman has since been identified as Baylee Curran and their argument was reportedly over jewelry.

Brown is now in police custody and has been taken to a police station for processing.
