Collaborators, friends, and fellow Chicagoans Kanye West and Chance the Rapper both took to Twitter yesterday to voice lengthy opinions, but on different subject matters.

Kanye, still in his feelings from Frank Ocean’s Blonde, turned his attention to the radio industry to plead that stations play the elusive artist’s music on-air.

In his honest pitch, West declared that Ocean’s music would make the world better and that empowering artists would create a more inspired world overall.

It was just last week that Chance himself set his crosshairs on radio in a series of tweets that asked stations to support independent artists.

But yesterday, he had a different goal upon hearing the false report that he’d be appearing at an upcoming ESPN forum in Chicago, “An Undefeated Conversation: Athletes, Responsibility, and Violence.”

Though the two parties have a good relationship—after all, Chance had the honor of closing out the network’s annual ESPY Awards this year with a tribute to Muhammad Ali—and both credited the mistake to an incorrect press release, Chano took the opportunity to voice his opinion on social “responsibility” anyway.

But despite the forum’s title, Chance’s tweets didn’t just point the finger at athletes and celebrities; he called out court systems, media outlets, and first responders, too.
