Tyler Perry revived Oprah’s network with the scripted programming he created for OWN, like The Haves and the Have Nots. Now TLC is reaching out to the dramatist for the first scripted show in their history. Don’t say Perry isn’t an equal opportunity offender.

We couldn’t make this up: Too Close to Home is the story of a woman from humble beginnings who makes it big in Washington, D.C.’s political scene, but gets tangled in a scandal that disgraces her career. The only place left for her to run is back home to the trailer park in Alabama, a place she’d tried hard to forget.

And for anyone who has wondered what the next step is in the career of a social media star, Perry cast Brock O’Hurn, one of the earliest to reach Insta-fame, who literally looks like a statue:

Too Close to Home premieres tonight, August 22, at 9/8 CT on TLC.
