As mentioned in his verse on What A Time To Be Alive‘s “Digital Dash,” Drake “doesn’t forget or forgive.” So last night (August 21), the “Pop Style” rapper made that line the most certain as he threw some not-so-subliminal slights at Meek Mill during his Summer Sixteen show at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.

The Toronto native took the time onstage in his rival’s hometown to change up a few lyrics to songs like “Still Here,” in which he rapped: “Man you not really from Philly and they can tell ni—a.” Then the insults continued during his performance of “Back to Back,” the second of two disstracks that dropped last year during the height of their beef. “I did another one, I did another / I even did this s— in Philly, man, I’ll never run,” he rapped, before later issuing some thoughts: “And just remember, when you watch that video over and over tonight, it’s not about your city, I love your city. You did that shit to your motherf—kin’ self boy.”

As many can remember, Drake and Meek overshadowed the entire summer last year with their feud that was sparked after the latter called out the “One Dance” singer for using ghostwriters. The rivalry added a new chapter to rap beef, as the utilization of memes led to it being the first of its kind during this social media era.

But while Drake fired off slights to Meek onstage, a series of videos hit online purporting that a couple of Philly natives pulled up outside the venue to confront the Toronto star. The men in the videos claim to be Dreamchasers affiliates, however it is not confirmed they are officially connected to Meek.

Later, a since-deleted Instagram caption alluded to the incident on Meek’s IG, which read: “When u run out the backdoor wit 12 and use the ‘old man’ to save you. I’m done. You had Philadelphia swat with you. Ima go ahead and hang it up with these suckas! Had y’all tucked back in there for hrs lol. #stillrunning.”

Feud aside, both artists are prepping new material with Meek readying DC4 and Drake possibly cooking up a mixtape. Last night, Drizzy also brought out Lil Wayne as a special guest during the Summer Sixteen show and even alluded to another co-headlining tour with his mentor.
