After much trolling delay, Frank Ocean has finally unveiled the long-awaited follow-up to 2012’s Channel: Orange. As the wait behind Boys Don’t Cry carried on, Ocean surprised fans tonight (August 19) with Endless, a visual album that is available now on Apple Music.
The visual features 18 songs, including additional vocals from guests like Jazmine Sullivan and Sampha. James Blake also appears on the project, receiving a credit on the synthesizers for work on “At Your Best (You Are Love),” a cover of the famous Isley Brothers tune that was also covered by Aaliyah on 1994’s Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number. Check Ocean’s Endless credits below.
Interestingly enough, Endless is credited as a Fresh Produce, LP release and not Def Jam, Ocean’s home label. However, Rolling Stone confirmed tonight that Endless happens to be a prelude of sorts to Boys Don’t Cry. According to the outlet, Boys is slated to arrive this weekend on Apple. But before the hype goes any further, Apple Music subscribers can take in the moment of Ocean’s Endless now.
