It’s been almost two years since Kendrick Lamar began his partnership with Reebok and with their collaborative sneakers, the Classic “Perfect Split,” having been released, the rapper now stars in a promo for the pair.
In the Nabil-directed clip, Kendrick walks city streets, talks hip-hop culture and reflects on when he first began writing rhymes as a teenager; he recalls walking into school and seeing his fellow classmates rocking Reebok Classics which he relates to wanting to create equally-timeless lyrics.

As his untitled unmastered. track “untitled 07 | levitate” plays in the background, K. Dot is also seen casually spitting during his shoot:
“I freestyle over anything/ give me instrumental/ I bet I make bells ring/ I bet I make birds sing/ It sounds that good/ I’m so street and I’m so hood/ And I’m intelligent and I’m special and I’m heaven-sent…/ …Hot off the press/ hot off success/ look how I dress/ free, me/ Reebok, complete.”
