Congratulations to The Breakfast Club on reaching their 500th episode as a part of the iHeart/REVOLT partnership to simulcast the World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show on our airwaves. The pact has made for plenty of fun despite the early hours, including trending interviews and viral memes. In honor of the achievement, we decided to highlight five of our favorite BC interviews that our pals DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee have conducted. There’s a lot to choose from and here’s to many more. Good morning….

50 Cent is first

For its official debut on REVOLT, 50 Cent graced episode one of The Breakfast Club with an unforgettable interview. For starters, he recounts the time he sat on the same flight with nemesis Ja Rule, reveals he wished Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” was his own song and explained how “Piggybank” was just an act of collateral damage. All of these jewels and more are the reasons why Fif’s name is always synonymous when it comes to the conversations of best Breakfast Club interviews.

Tyga’s tales

Since ringing the alarm in a 2014 Vibe interview, Tyga had been the froth to several burning rumors, drama and headlines. If it wasn’t Drake, who bore the brunt of the “Rack City” rapper’s explosive comments to the magazine (since squashed), calling him out on songs like “6PM In New York,” then it was the rumors surrounding his much-publicized situationship with then 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. “[Tyga] should be ashamed of himself,” said Amber Rose, in a separate interview on The Breakfast Club. So with his back against the wall, T-Raww joined TBC and got a lot of weight off his chest—sort of. He lied on the air when it came to his relationship to Kylie (“I’m not dating Kylie”), called Drake fake (“He’s not genuine”) and much more.

Kanye’s loose lips

After his infamous 2013 visit, a spirited Kanye West made a surprise return to The Breakfast Club in 2015 for a sit-down that was far less contentious than the last time. As one can imagine, nothing was left unsaid. From Amber Rose (“If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there would be no Amber Rose”) to Tyga’s relationship with Kylie Jenner (“I think he got in early, I think he was smart”), and a planned collaborative album with Drake called Wolves (“We were supposed to do an album together”)— ‘Ye spoke on it all.

K. Michelle had enough

Charlamagne The God grabs headlines for his prickly inquiries to talent, but in this instance it was Angela Yee who drew K. Michelle’s ire after she asked one last question—about Maino. The Brooklyn rapper and Uncle Murda made jokes about the singer in the past and the BC host put it on the table. K. Michelle, however, sent it back to the kitchen. And with heat.

Birdman is finished and done

In what Charlamange Tha God called the “quickest” interview and DJ Envy called the “shortest” one in Breakfast Club history, Birdman visited the set and confronted the pair of hosts and Angela Yee, leaving with the phrase that would launch many memes (and a music video) “I just came to let y’all know put some respek on my name.”
