Artist. Producer. Songwriter. Cam Wallace. Are all one in the same.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Wallace was initially an aspiring rapper who was influenced by the grimy underground soundtrack that was H-Town AKA Screwston. He realized, however, that the best way to find the sound that complimented his lyrical versatility was to create it himself. Cam’s creative musical blueprint was forged from a culmination of playing the tuba and trombone, his father’s extensive vinyl collection, and the geniuses that we know as Pharrell, Kanye and Timbaland.

This array of influence, creative experimentation, relentless determination, preparation and fate conspired for Cam at a young age when he scored his fellow Houstonian’s, Beyonce’s, most memorable records “Upgrade U.” It was Cam’s very first placement. Since the accomplishment with Queen B, Cam went on to produce records for chart-topping artists like Jeezy, Ciara, B.o.B, Omarion, Sevyn Streeter, Justine Skye and, his most recent, a conscious hip-hop track titled, “Slave to the Dollar,” which will be featured on R. City’s highly-anticipated debut album, What Dreams Are Made Of.

Having proved that he can create like the musical pioneers who influenced him, Cam is now out to prove that he can do the same as an artist. He’s currently finishing up his debut LP, Massive, which will feature the single “Unwind,” as well as “Late Night Trip” and “Link Up” and is scheduled for release this fall.
