Major Lazer’s upcoming album is shaping up to be a banger.

Fresh off the release of their thirst-quenching Justin Bieber-assisted summer single “Cold Water,” the supergroup (comprised of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionare) is recruiting even more hit-makers for its new LP.

But before revealing the major players, Diplo spoke to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 about how, in creating songs for other artists, they almost gave away one of the group’s biggest hits, “Lean On.”

“Every time I tell people the features on the record, they always change…because I always give those records away. Beyoncé took a couple of songs from us that ended up being on her album. I think another one from The Weeknd is gonna be on his album, so sometimes they all just chip away until they’re all gone….The only people I would give records to are people we love and that’s Beyoncé, Weeknd, and maybe some for Nicki Minaj or whatever. But we always try to give those records to people and the ones they don’t understand maybe we’ll take them ourselves and that’s how ‘Lean On’ happened.”

The DJ then shared the artists who made the cut on the upcoming album, and a few who may still be in limbo:

“We have Usher on it. MØ’s back on songs. We have a song with Sam Hunt which is very unusual but I love him. Let’s see, Travis Scott …. Sia is on a couple ideas but I don’t know, one of the records might be her record. She’s definitely background vocals on a song, so for sure she’s gonna be on that… Tove Lo did something amazing for us. I love her. We did a bunch of stuff together. Tinashe . I’m gonna have a demo with everybody, but I don’t know which ones gonna make the cut.”
