Young Thug recaps year of the thug with "Memo" vid, teases 'Jeffery' mixtape
Thugger becomes J. Jonah Jameson and looks back at his 2016 run.
As shown through the promotional campaign shots for Calvin Klein, the recent RIAA acknowledgment for “Best Friend” crossing a million mark, and the full slate of upcoming releases under his belt (I Came From Nothing 4, Hy!£UN35), Young Thug has successfully made 2016 the ‘Year of the Thug.’ So in properly demonstrating this, he takes “Memo,” a standout on Slime Season 3, to summarize the soon-to-be documented run in those year end recaps. Directed by go-to videographer Be El Be, Thugger channels his inner J. Jonah Jameson as he heads a publication that appropriately reports on all the headlines he’s made this year, piling them all into one 3-minute vid.
“Memo” appears on Slime Season 3, Thugger’s fourth project released this year, which also debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. A couple follow-ups are in place, including the newly announced self-titled mixtape, Jeffrey.
