Just one day after #AltonSterling died at the hands of police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, #PhilandoCastile suffered the some fate in St.Paul, Minnesota, making him the 589th person to be killed in the U.S. this year by law enforcement.

The shock, anger, and frustration usually felt by communities and celebrities nationwide after such a tragedy occurs was all the more magnified and multiplied when the proximity of, and similarities between, the two incidences were considered, and many took to social media to voice their thoughts in ways that suddenly felt repetitive, redundant and ineffective.
