So as the celebration continues through the rest of the year, REVOLT sat with Kareem “Biggs” Burke, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, to discuss the album that launched the empire and spawned the musical lineage that continues to impact the music scene today. Throughout the chat, Biggs reveals a couple of gems, like how DJ Premier initially charged the team $8,000 for a series of beats and the fact that The Notorious B.I.G. was “the most important” part of the album.
