ScHoolboy Q’s new album Blank Face has been backed by some interesting promo, and no, it doesn’t involve Crying Jordan or Donald Trump artworks. Instead, the highly anticipated effort has been preceded by records like the Kanye West-featured “THat Part” and sinister “Groovy Tony,” as well as a proper album cover. Now, TDE’s promo magic continues in the the newly revealed album trailer, which is just as much ready for the box office as it is for a Saturday night HBO or Showtime slot. Directed by Jack Begert, with Kendrick Lamar and “The Little Homies” handling co-direction, the trailer details a coming of age narrative for Groovy Q, who is shown going through the ins and outs of everyday reality. Something tells us a short film could be on the way. Until then though, July 8 will be the long-awaited Blank Face release.
