Despite the fact that Kanye West’s headlining set at Governors Ball was cancelled earlier this month due to weather concerns, and the Weeknd has already signed on to top the bill at New Orleans’ Voodoo Fest, and Chance the Rapper will appear at Made In America in addition to touring in support of his own album Coloring Book, all three men are still feeling extra-generous and will help usher in an entirely new music festival.
The first annual Meadows Music and Arts Festival will go down October 1 and 2 at Citi Field in the Flushing Meadows Park of Queens, New York, and the men sit atop an awesome line-up.
They’ll be joined by Pusha T, Bryson Tiller, Kygo, Grimes, Damian Marley, Mac Miller, Post Malone, Chromeo, Lolawolf (Zoe Kravitz’s band), Twin Shadow, BORNS, Kamasi Washington, Zhu, Empire of the Sun, Jack Garratt, Cage the Elephant, Chairlift, Metric, Sylvan Esso, the Temper Trap and more.
There are also two performers who have yet to be named.
Hosted by Founders Entertainment, the same organizers behind Governors Ball, those who bought tickets to the Ball will receive a promo code via email for the Meadows Festival pre-sale (June 22) while the remaining tickets will go on sale for the public on June 23.
