Rick Ross, Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign Set For Inaugural Festival In Texas

‘Tis the music festival season and if you’ve grown bored of the tried-and-true shows like California’s Coachella or New York’s Made in America, there’s a brand new concert coming to the scene.

The first annual Outta This World show will see hip-hop heavyweights Rick Ross, T.I., and Bun B. joined by newcomers Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, and Fetty Wap, along with DJ-producer Metro Boomin, according to Billboard.

The inaugural event goes down August 18 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, and though there’s no word on if the show will tour the country or be a once-a-year one-night-only event, it is expected to draw 15,000 people.

Bun B, who hails from Texas, said, “Houston is at the forefront of art and culture. It’s time for a festival that reflects that.”

The concert is presented by United Imperial Group, a music management company, and John “Monopoly” Johnson, who formerly managed Kanye West.

Johnson said, “Producing the largest independent hip-hop festival to take place in Houston is an honor. We’re looking forward to presenting these globally renowned acts, many of whom are sharing the bill for the first time.”
