FOREST HILLS, NY—The sun was out and the temperature was perfect for a day of outdoor music at Forest Hills Stadium as Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals made their way to the stage Saturday afternoon (June 18). In a navy and yellow FUBU jersey paired with all-white high tops, .Paak kicked off his set with his animated track “Drugs.”

.Paak followed with “The Season | Carry Me” and the audience reacted with excitement as he made his way to the drum set. His set continued with “Put Me Thru,” “Heart Don’t Stand A Chance” and “Come Down.” The whole crowd was moving and grooving as he worked the entire stage while singing “You know I might never come down, let me get down.”

A highlight moment of his performance took place when .Paak made his way back to the drums to play David Bowie’s “Just Dance.” The crowd LOVED IT and roared as he ended the song and threw his drum sticks into the audience. (Take a look during the second half of the clip below.)

It was only about 30 minutes later when stage lights and smoke filled the area to welcome Disclosure as the duo made their way to open their set with “White Noise.” The brothers were celebrating the release of their new Moog For Love EP with the New York edition of their Wild Life event.

As their performance continued on with “Jade,” “Magnets,” “Omen” and “You & Me,” the visuals on screen and bright, colorful lights were a spectacle all on their own giving even more life to each song.

The spirited crowd, animated stage and electrifying dance tunes booming through the speakers made for an unforgettable and exciting start for the summer 2016 season.
