Rocko Sues Future For $10 Million, Future Reponds
The Atlanta rapper claims he is owed over $10 million for originally signing Future.
Things are far from A1 between Future and fellow Atlanta native Rocko.
As TMZ reports, in 2011 Rocko signed Future to his label A1 Recordings, where the rapper was enlisted to release six albums under the umbrella. In 2012, Future later inked a major joint venture deal with Epic Records, which also included a home for his label Freebandz Entertainment. According to Rocko, the deal with Epic landed Future a multi-million dollar advance, which he was left out of. Despite working together on standout records like 2013’s “U.E.O.N.O.” and “Chosen One,” Rocko believes he is owed 25 percent of Future’s advances from Epic, as well as another 20 percent of the his earnings (touring, merchandise, and endorsements), altogether totalling more than $10 million.
In response, Future took to Twitter hours after the news broke to express his thoughts.
Of course, this lawsuit comes after Future was recently tangled in a legal dispute with Ciara, who filed a $15 million defamation suit against her ex-fiancé. The rapper later countersued.
