RZA And Paul Banks Announce Joint Album, Single, & Tour
See the LP cover and listen to “Giant” here.
It was only last month that Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and Interpol’s Paul Banks revealed that they were joining forces to form new duo, Banks & Steelz. But they’re wasting no time making their mark in music.
Today, the two announced their debut album, unveiled its tracklisting, shared the second single from the LP, and revealed the dates to their upcoming tour.
A peek at Anything But Words‘ song list shows that the album will feature the Clan‘s Method Man and Masta Killa, Florence Welch, Kool Keith, and Ghostface (who appeared on lead single “Love & War”).
Opening track “Giant,” which premiered on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe, is a rousing rock-rap blend that sounds like it’s racing towards you at full-speed (and makes you feel as if you should be moving, too).
And though scheduled to appear at festivals including Los Angeles’ FYF Fest, Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful, and Texas’ Austin City Limits, the duo is setting out to tour on their own across the country throughout the Summer and Fall, too.
