BANKS' Sophomore Album Is Done
Singer makes announcement on Instagram.
It’s been almost two years since BANKS released her debut album Goddess.
After starting out on Soundcloud, having her song “Before I Ever Met You” played by DJ Zane Lowe, having “Waiting Game” appear in Victoria’s Secret’s holiday commercial, being nominated by the BBC for its yearly “Sound Of…” award, opening for The Weeknd on his tour, performing at Coachella, and releasing two EPs, 2014’s Goddess was the culmination of all her hype—and proof that she could live up to it. And it paid off; Goddess was acclaimed by fans and critics alike and charted within the top 20 of several countries.
Now, BANKS is looking to strike gold again. The singer just announced on Instagram that her second album is complete. Sharing a photo of herself in the studio, she wrote: “ITS F—KING DONE.”
Though there’s no word on a release date or if “Better,” the one-off single she released late last year, made the cut, this announcement could mean that the LP is dropping soon.
