A dog is a man’s best friend. For rapper Big Boi, they are more like his family. Holding a connection for animals since a child, Big Boi and his brother James Patton, sit down with Live Nation TV for the latest episode of Business as Usual.

“We would see stray dogs on the street and nurse them back to health, and keep them—or hide them—from my mom until she found out,” Big Boi remembers. “It turned into an infatuation.”

In the episode, Big Boi and Patton give a behind the scenes look to Pitfall Kennels, which is their 25-acre breeding facility and dog rescue in Atlanta, Georgia, where they raise American Bullies, French Bulldogs, and English Bulldogs.

“These are the best, loyal, most family oriented dogs ever,” the rapper says. “We’re here to dispel the stigma that’s been put on them.”

Watch as the brothers get up close and personal with the new breeds and knock down the unjustness of Pitbull stereotypes.

“When it’s all said and done I just want to sit back with my animals in the midst of the trees and the forest and just be peaceful.”
