A Mary J. Blige & Kanye West Collabo Is Coming
A&R drops major album exclusive.
It’s been almost two years since Mary J. Blige has released an album; while 2014’s The London Sessions (inspired by the English city) was applauded, her Think Like A Man Too soundtrack (which she recorded in its entirety) was met with mixed reviews that same year.
But now MJB is set to come back and make waves.
During an interview with the Arbiters of A&R podcast, Blige’s A&R Eddie Fourcell revealed that not only was her upcoming LP complete and in its mixing phase, but that the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul had also worked with Hit-Boy on the album.
However, the host asked for even more info: “What other exclusive can you give us? What’s a feature or something? Something you can give. A theme or something.”
And Fourcell did not disappoint: “I think this is gonna be the first time that the world sees a Mary J. Blige and Kanye West [collaboration].”
And there you have it. The album is expected to drop around August/September.
