Troy Ave is set to appear in court to face charges stemming from his involvement in the T.I. shooting last week at Manhattan’s Irving Plaza venue. However, the rapper is still recovering from surgery to remove bone fragments from his leg after being shot. According to the New York Daily News, the Brooklyn native is under police watch and handcuffed to a hospital bed while he recovers. No official date has been set yet as of press time.
Last Wednesday (May 25), a shooting broke out at Irving Plaza before T.I. took the stage. Footage released by police identified Troy Ave as a shooter and he was later charged with attempted murder among other charges. An associated of his, Ronald McPhatter, was killed, and two others were injured as a result of the incident.
