Manolo Rose drew plenty of attention on social media earlier this week when he retweeted a comment on Twitter about Troy Ave that read: “The worst part about Troy Ave getting shot is him not dying.”

Rose wrote a new message backing away from the topic, explaining he didn’t know the severity of the situation.

“When I seen it, I thought it was a joke,” he told REVOLT yesterday (May 26).

While he and Troy Ave didn’t see eye to eye, now with the weight of the matter being clear—Troy has been charged with attempted murder for his role in the shooting at the T.I. concert at Irving Plaza—Rose said any static he had with the Brooklyn rapper is done.

“I don’t ever wish death on nobody,” he said. “Any issues me and Troy have, that’s over. “
