Alicia Keys has just dropped the video for her new single, “In Common,” and, as always, she’s in an Empire State of Mind.

Ripping some of New York City’s staples from the streets, Keys brings fire escapes, chain-link fences, playground monkey bars, police barricades, and fire hydrants to her minimalistic set and lets her cast of dancers roam and run free.

From contorting pop-and-lockers and b-boys to sensual contemporary movers and kids, the whole crew shows off–the same way they would on a subway car or sidewalk–with some ending up in intimate embraces, before it turns into an all-out dance party. Keys doesn’t get in on the action but, sporting a makeup-free face, she’s just as visually stunning as the black-and-white clip.
