At this point, being fashionably late is far less the excuse for soul-singer Lauryn Hill. After arriving over two hours late to an Atlanta concert Friday night (May 6) and only performing for fewer than 40 minutes, Hill addresses her angry fans by saying she will “make it up” to them.

Hill wrote on her Facebook page Sunday (May 8), that her tardiness is not due to lack of respect but merely contingent on the artistic process. Further explaining, the challenge is aligning her energy with the time. Okay, so you’re an artist and your sensitive about your shit, we get it. But fans are still not buying it and had no problem openly expressing their outrage about the situation on social media.

In the note, Hill said she will announce details for the “make up” show as she has them.
