New moves alert.

As the first-week sales for Views continue to grow by the day — the latest figures has the album at over an 850,000 sales start — Drake strikes another benchmark this week, as he is slated to pull double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

This will mark the Toronto superstar’s second time as host and musical guest, but third appearance overall after he performed back in October 2011. Set to take place on May 14th, the show will add yet another accolade into Drake’s book of accomplishments, as he is the first rapper to host and perform on SNL twice.

Throughout the show’s history, several rappers have stepped on the Studio 8H stage as host and musical guest, with the first ever being MC Hammer in 1991. Since then, emcees like Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and Queen Latifah have held down hosting duties, with the latter being the only one to host twice. In 2004, Latifah hosted and performed on SNL.

Facts aside, Drake’s upcoming SNL gig should be a nice touch for the ever-growing sales for Views, which is available now on Apple Music and iTunes.
