First iTunes, now HBO.
Beyoncé’s Lemonade is not only a TV special, featuring a visual component (cameos include Serena Williams and Jay Z, among others), but it’s an album. Duh. And it’s available now on Tidal (specifically at www.beyonce.tidal.com), where subscribers can watch the visual (one long video paired to 12 songs) exclusively before it’s released to iTunes and later to other music services.
The album is the follow up to the singer’s 2013 self-titled surprise album which arrived unexpectedly with a full slate of music videos and has since inspired artists to follow suit (with surprise projects save the videos.)
