In what Charlamange Tha God called the “quickest” interview and DJ Envy called the “shortest” one in Breakfast Club history, Birdman visited the set this morning (April 22) and confronted the pair of hosts and Angela Yee telling them to “stop playing with my name.”
The Cash Money boss rolled into the studio with a deep entourage and before the interview could commence he had a few things to get off his chest.
“Stop playing with my name, I ain’t gon say it no mo’,” he repeated.
Envy began the show, while Charlamange attempted to get to the root of the issue.
“Why come here just to curse us out,” he asked.
“I wanted to talk to you as a man to your face,” Birdman explained. “I knew a few places you were at, I could have pulled up. But I didn’t think that was gangster. I wanted to come look you in the face like a man and tell you how I feel.
“Ain’t no issue, ” he added. “If it was an issue you would feel me. I just came to let y’all know put some respect on my name.”
Charlamange retorted by asking if Birdman approached Rick Ross and Trick Daddy that way and not just “the radio guy.”
Birdman then called for his crew to go and they group walked out.
“What about my notes,” Angela Yee said, joking about the lack of interview.
