September 1998 will forever be a historic timestamp thanks to the many star-making moments with artists like OutKast on Aquemini and Jay Z with Vol 2… Hard Knock Life. Not far behind in this illustrious list is Fat Joe, who went from the man responsible for “Flow Joe” to rap’s Don Cartagena on an album of the same name. At 15 tracks, the LP provided many standout moments. However, there was one song that stood out the most and it was a little collaboration called “John Blaze.” On the gritty posse cut, Joe unites four of New York rap’s finest in Big Pun, Jadakiss, Nas and Raekwon to form a collective Voltron. The song itself gave fans a rare moment, but the music video provided another level of history that Raekwon continues to refer to as “unity.”
