Grand opening, grand closing.

After a solid 20 years of dedication, inspiration and championing the city of Los Angeles, Lakers MVP Kobe Bryant has signed off the court. Commemorating his final game last night at the Staples Center in downtown LA with thousands of fans gathering inside the stadium to the out pour beyond the doors, celebrities and entertainment moguls also shelled out to witness the Mamba’s final game.

Among those in attendance were hip-hop’s finest Jay Z, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, and Kanye West. Aside from the countless merchandise retailing from $38,000 caps to special edition Kobe Xi’s and $15,000 pieces of art, one item that really stood out from the rest was a “Mamba Day” t-shirt worn by Kanye West. In support of Kobe’s farewell, as well as his recent chart-topping album, Kanye paid tribute with a shirt that read “I Feel Like Kobe” in TLOP font, with the back emblazoned with the words “Los Angeles Lakers,” “Mamba Day 4.13.16,” and “Kobe Bryant Lower Merion’s Finest.”
