Amber Rose is baaaaad muva-jamma.
With the release of her latest venture, emoji app aplty named MuvaMoji, Rose is conquering the tech world one million dollars at a time. Reportedly earning more than $2 million on its first day of availability alone, the just-launched app quickly ranked #1 in the App Store charts. Reflective of her audacious personality, the collection features more than 900 emojis, many of which contain pointed sociocultural commentary.
“A lot sexual emojis,” Rose told REVOLT during an in-studio takeover with fans following the launch. “I have a whole gay pride section of emojis, which is really cool because I’m big in the LBGT Rights community and an advocate for gay rights.”
Rated for mature audiences, the outspoken feminist explained why she likes to ruffle-feathers and speak on topics that most shy far from. “I know that I’m controversial and I make people uncomfortable being confident in my sexuality, but it proves a point why I have SlutWalk and why I talk about the things I talk about. It brings awareness, and I like that.”
As for the comparisons to Kim Kardashian’s Kimoji app, “I think we should keep our businesses separate. Kim should do her own thing and I’ll do mine, but I do think we should embrace each other and uplift each other as women.”
Regarding the infamous selfie between the former socialites, she adds, “I will not tell you what we discussed, but we definitely sat on the couch and talked for about three hours. It was just a lot of years of rumors and the internet making us more enemies than we actually were in real life. We talked it out, she’s an amazing girl and now everything is just cool.”
Continuing to promote her SlutWalk transnational movement to protest and take a stand to end rape culture, she said, “this year I’m having my SlutWalk in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, so it’s going to be bi-coastal this year.”
