We caught up with New Orleans native, Brandan “B-Mike” Odums, as he tells the story of a unique art exhibit of an abandoned apartment complex that blends street art with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The five story apartment building is covered with graffiti art from wall to wall. Highlighting individuals such as Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali, Harriet Tubman, etc. that came from nothing as B-Mike states, “Even from struggle comes beauty.”
