Despite the stipulation under his 90-day house arrest punishment, wherein he is barred from releasing and recording music, Meek Mill sent fans into a frenzy after dropping his latest record, called “Trap Vibes.”
Released last night (April 5), the new song finds Meek snapping over Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” instrumental and Desiigner’s “Panda.”
“Diamonds dancing like Mike Jackson, shit shinning like Mike’s jacket,” he raps, while also trolling with a reference to Drizzy’s “Diamonds Dancing” track with Future on last year’s What A Time To Be Alive. “I don’t really understand rappers / Niggas jumping on bandwagons,” he later notes.
While the release of this new record may lead to speculation about whether Meek violated terms of his house arrest, it is worth noting however, that the rapper and his lawyer filed an appeal last month, seeking permission to release music.
Hopefully the release of “Trap Vibes” is a sign that the appeal has been granted.
