Chance The Rapper continues to put on for his hometown fans of Chicago. From curating and hosting local music festivals, leading activist events, and extending his art direction for fellow up-and-coming artists, Chance is known for his deposit of good energy back into the city. The trend will resume later this week, as he’s scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Chicago White Sox home opener on Friday when they play the Cleveland Indians.

This will be the second time that Chance has kicked off a White Sox opener, following his 2014 first pitch. Unfortunately, he will not be performing at the game, but John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls is slated to sing the national anthem. Last time, Chance was a bit outside with his throw, so let’s hope he’s ready to come back with his A-game.

Take a look at Chance’s last opening day pitch here, and tune in this Friday for his first pitch of the year.
