“You came in the game hating on Three 6 Mafia, now you hating on Dolph,” writes rapper Young Dolph in an Instagram post last night (March 16) that has since grown legs.
Dolph, who recently released his street album King of Memphis, finally addressed the long-standing elephant in the room regarding his relationship with fellow Memphis native Yo Gotti. Despite downplaying the notion of a beef with Gotti in an interview with XXL earlier this month, Dolph let it out all on IG, directing a barrage of insults at the “Down In the DM” rapper. “Hoe Gotti, you is a bitch as ni**a,” he repeatedly says in the clip, before insinuating that Gotti tried to get him arrested. “I just got back to the city and they say you trying to put charges on me or put the police on me.”
Dolph’s comments comes after Gotti’s protege Blac Youngsta released his own series of insults aimed at Dolph, including a video of the rapper showing up to his neighborhood with a gun-toting group of men. Gotti’s reacted to Youngsta’s video in an interview with Tim Westwood, stating, “Lil’ homie on the team so I’m going to always give him the proper advice that I believe I should give him from like a big brother standpoint or just being the homie standpoint. My advice you know I don’t move like that. I’m going to always tell, not only him but, any youngin’ don’t handle your business like this.”
Tension between the two have been growing for quite a while now. Last month, Dolph released his King of Memphis album, a title that Gotti has famously crowned for himself, on the same day as the latter’s The Art of Hustle LP. Dolph has also subliminally called out the rapper for allegedly being salty about his decision being not signing to his CMG label.
