Troy Ave Blasts Deceased Pro Era Member In Joey Bada$$ Dis

  /  03.01.2016

UPDATE: Styles P, who experienced a tough loss with the passing of his daughter to suicide last year, has offered his take on Troy’s comments, as did Joey Bada$$. See below.

Following a brief brush of tension over the summer and a recent jab thrown his way on Joey Bada$$’s “Ready,” Troy Ave takes rap beef to a whole new level on “BAD ASS.”

Over a Yankee-produced beat, the Brooklyn rapper responds to Joey’s line on “Ready,” where he spits “With 80/20 split do the math, my n-gga Kirk Knight just outsold Troy Ave.” Taking aim and firing, the “My Style” rapper retaliates on his new track, rapping, “You’s a filthy backpack rapper out a thrift shop / Drug addict face, what’s on your junky head… I know real n-ggas and none of them bump you / I know plenty bad b-tches and none of them fu–ed you.”

If that wasn’t enough, the Brooklyn rapper took things a step even further by throwing a dig at late Pro Era member Capital STEEZ. “Don’t be suicidal like ya friend / It’s a casket / Steez burning in hell, my burners on my belt,” he goes.

Of course, the foolish jab drew the ire of many folks on social media.

In response to the track, Joey Bada$$ responded by tweeting “Congratulations, YOU PLAYED YOURSELF,” and his recent award acceptance of the Hip Hop Leadership Award by the Bishop and Borough President of Brooklyn.
