Vic Mensa was vocal on social media all day today (February 28) ahead of his performance at Justice For Flint, promising to premiere a song and being outspoke about the city’s misfortune.

Well, he backed up his words and more. The Chicago rapper performed a Flint Water Crisis version of “U Mad” that was fiery in its aim at the state government. And then Mensa debuted a new track, “16 Shots,” which addressed the Laquan McDonald shooting in his hometown of Chicago. Listen to a sampling of his speech and new record below.
