There’s no such thing as ordinary when André 3000 is involved.

So when L.A. Reid’s, as many times mentioned, “favorite artist in the world” randomly popped up during the music executive’s interview about his new book, “Sing to Me,” on The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show on DISH Nation recently, the appearance wasn’t a surprise. Instead, the interview pop-up move was simply André pulling an André.

As Reid’s special guest, 3 Stacks chimed in on some of his favorite music and artists in the current rap scene.

“Kid Cudi’s last album, Speedin’ Bullet is the best thing to come out in a long time,” he said. “[Young] Thug is charging up the rap game. Future is charging up the rap game. These are people I listen to and my kid turns me on to everybody new so I just listen to whatever he listenin’ to, riding to school.”

Andre’s sentiments about Cudder’s recent grunge-infused album is also shared by Erykah Badu, who, in a December Reddit AMA session, called the project “courageous.”

The OutKast MC also had a lot to say about his 18-year-old son’s music, who has taken on the gifts of his dad. “He can actually rap,” said Dré. “But he don’t want people to know he can rap. He’s actually good.”
