For Ty Dolla $ign, the fight to Free TC isn’t over.

“It’s not just an album, it’s real life,” says the singer to REVOLT about his previously-released major-label debut dedicated to his brother TC, who is currently serving a 25 years to life prison term. Partial proceeds from the album’s sales will be donated to TC’s lawyers, while the rest is expected to be placed in a foundation dedicated to helping those under false imprisonment.

It’s deeper than music for the singer, who is steady working on helping his brother and others around the country who have been accused of crimes leading to imprisonment. “He’s still locked up right now for something that he didn’t do, as with many people who are locked up for something they didn’t do. It’s my responsibility to help my brother out,” he added. “That’s what I’m going to do.”

Fans can contribute to Ty$’s fight by purchasing the album, Free TC.

Ty, who makes an appearance on Kanye West’s album The Life Of Pablo, also spoke on his contribution to the record, calling it “magic.”

“I’m just happy to be a part of it, it was magic and [the album’s] lit.”

Fans can catch Ty$ on Future’s Purple Reign Tour, which hits New York City this weekend. For tickets, head here.
