Kanye Plays Cat-And-Mouse In "All Day/I Feel Like That" Video
Like a raging bull, Ye goes head-to-head with the camera in this one.
Over the summer, Kanye West teamed with director Steve McQueen (“12 Years A Slave”) to create a visual compliment for “All Day” and a brand new song, “I Feel Like That.”
Shot in one take, the short was originally expected to arrive after it was featured as the subject of a presentation at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last year. But after a long delay, the nine-minute “All Day/ I Feel Like That” clip finally arrived online today (February 22).
The video captures ‘Ye as its muse, powerfully capturing the rapper playing cat-and-mouse throughout the two records. For “All Day,” he’s fierce and direct, chasing the camera while hissing lines like “If you ain’t with us, you in our way ni–a” right into the lens. However on “I Feel Like That,” it’s a different scenario. Instead of pursuing the camera on the soaring ballad, Ye, instead, scurries away from the attention — shifting left and right, while often times ducking and jumping.
Digging into the context, the video seemingly symbolizes the duality of fame for the ever-popular star.
Update: Hopefully you caught it this morning, cause it’s since been removed.
