Gucci Mane’s prison release date has earned as much speculation as the myth surrounding whether or not 2Pac is alive.
Last month, rumors swirled from all walks of life about a possible March 2016 release for the captain of 1017 Records. However, an inmate lookup and call to Indiana’s Terre Haute federal prison, where he is being held, confirmed a March 6, 2017 date. Now, it appears that an update has been made in the system as the rapper, born Radric Davis, is set for release on September 20, 2016.
The expected date falls nearly three years to the day Gucci was arrested in Atlanta back in September 2013 for disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and carrying a firearm.
In August of 2014, Gucci Mane was sentenced to 39 months in prison for firearm charges, of which he had already served 28 months. In addition, he was later sentenced to three years prison on unrelated assault charges, which were to run concurrent with his federal sentencing.
