Big Kap, a prominent New York DJ in the hip-hop community, has passed away reportedly from a heart attack.

He was an immense figure and a member of Funkmaster Flex’s Big Dawg Pitbulls DJ collective. Flex and Kap collaborated on The Tunnel album, released in 1999, that replicated the pair’s work at the famed NYC nightclub.

DJ’s and artist’s took to Twitter and Instagram this morning (February 3) to share memories and pay their respect to the late legend.
